Colombo Engineering's first Q revenue tops US$ 400, 000

The Colombo Engineering Company has earned a revenue of US$ 400,000 for the first three months of operations during the current financial year.

The Chairman of Colombo Engineering Kiran Atapattu, said that the revenue was achieved through ship repairs, adding that the ship building industry had tremendous potential to expand.
He said that with the Ruhunu Magampura Harbour opening, more opportunities had emerged and they too were geared to undertake any type of repairs in the Hambantota Harbour.
The company had also undertaken a job on a German owned, 'Courier' and had completed the job in a record 96 hours. “This job was for container stacking vertical cell guides. We replaced 600 metres of steel and the revenue incurred from this operation alone was US$ 160,000,” he said.
